Yes, Superman Returns was a bit of a let down (although I did enjoy it), but this appears to be very, very different. More of a delve into what makes Kal-El what and who he is. A new outfit and perhaps a new attitude?

Though very stylized, Zach Snyder can really deliver. Every preview I see is totally stunning.

 

Man of Steel is a reboot of the franchise, where Superman Returns was a continuation of Chris Reeves Superman. It is speculated that this is the first movie leading up to the Justice League movie in 2015. So there might be a cameo or two from other DC characters! We will see....

It looks really good. and since Snyder didn't write it, it should be good! haha

While I am pretty tired of superhero movies, I am interested in this.

Never read comic books, don't care about the X-men, Fantastic Four are lame, Spiderman movies make me sleepy, but for some reason I like Nolan's Batman, Kick Ass, and Superman movies. (with the exceptions of Reeve's 3&4)

 

it's because those movies you like are the most serious of the comic book movies and this superman movie seems to be taking the same route. i've heard the same from numerous non-comic book fans.

this movie does look good though and early screenings have had great reviews. Let's hope they get it right this time. Superman Returns was a snoozer.. largely thanks to Bryan Singer, who we can thank for the crappy x-men movies too!

This may be the first Superman movie I actually want to see in theaters.. Awaiting everyone elses reviews before I pay for it though
