Preview nite tonite 5/14/03. EDIT: Please do not give away movie elements in this thread. We can start another thread for that. Don't be a spoiler! Any giveaway elements will be deleted by Mod. Thanx. EDIT2: I am starting a spoiler thread to discuss plot elements and views so as not to spoil the movie.
Don't listen to SEUNG! It was great! Was it worth $9.00? If you like the Matrix and understand the story at all, YES! To let you know without giving away anything....If you watch the first 5 mins then you can go and get your candy and popcorn and pee. The movie doesn't get going until about 50 mins into it, really. Once the meeting with the Oracle happens, sit tight because it's ON!
Be sure to have your thinking cap on because there's alot of really cool philosophy presented. It is presented really quickly though and you have to be thinking fast to understand it. In fact when it's released on DVD I'll have to watch it and pause to ponder what was said.
The overall story was great. This is more than just a transitional movie with filler. It truly answers questions you are wanting to know regarding the saga, and some you did not know would be answered.
My favorite scene was the whole freeway scene. There are as expected throughout the movie great fight scenes, but they IMO weren't a quantum leap over the first Matrix movie's scenes.
If the original Matrix was a 10/10 this one is a 9/10 with points off for being very slow for 3/8 of the movie.

I'm surprised you didn't like it, seung. This movie totally rocked!! Monica Bellucci=HOT!!
I've had many occasions where a movie gets hyped, only to disappoint me because I ended up expecting too much. Every now and then, a movie comes along and fulfills the expectations. This is one of them.
uh-oh, now I've set it up to disappoint others expecting too much...

Oh, and one more thing. If you want to see a trailer for the 3rd installment, Matrix: Revolutions, wait for the credits to finish (the credits were really, really, long though).

I left before the trailer too. Evidently it's online already though. I saw someone post that you can download it here, but some people have said that it is different that the one they saw in the theater. So who knows?
