Default Public Enemies

Let me first just say that a combination of Johnny Depp's acting, trailer, and critics reviews we were very excited to see this movie.......and we were so wrong

Any action or story this movie had was shown in the trailer. We watched about 5-6 trailers prior to the movie starting..... All of which had more excitement than this film. This movie was THAT bad. So bad in fact that it was the first movie in about 2-3 years that we walked out on after paying full price to see it.

I tried....I really did. We sat for about an hour and a half waiting for this movie to give an indication that it would be better than a History Channel documentary and for the life of me there was none.

What lacked so bad was energy. It was really like getting into a time capsule and watching the events of the time unfold as a spectator. The movie was almost silent throughout with almost no background music and just talking....talking...talking....talking....talking ...talking....talking...talking....talking....talk ing...talking....talking...talking....talking....t alking.

When there was an action scene like robbing the bank or and escape it was 10 seconds long and went right back to some random scenes and then....(you guessed it)....

Talking...talking....talking...talking....talking. ...talking...talking....talking...talking....talki ng....talking

In summary I am throughly convinced that whoever gave this movie a good review from whatever magazine was most certainly paid to do it.

I felt "disconnected" from this movie..

I watched the whole thing and really enjoyed the dialogue between Depp and his girlfriend....however everything else was really flat. It didn't really give me anything that I haven't seen before.

I was also let down by Bale's character. Zero emotion, which I'm sure was how it was designed, but I need some emotion and fire to connect with somewhere.

I give it a 3, solid acting..however the storyline was weak and there was minimal character development...they could have done SO much with this!

I saw this the friday it was released. I don't know if it was just too late or too boring, but I fell asleep during the movie. I'm not sure how long I slept.. but I know I thought the movie was almost over after I woke up and continued to watch another 1.5 hours of annoying loud shootings with no storyline whatsoever. Not to mention the worst ending ever.

Don't waste your time seeing this. I love Depp and Bale, but this was a POS.

this reminded minded me alot like watchmen. I went in expecting alot more action and it ended up being mostly drama with some shooting.

It wasnt a bad movie, just not what I expected. definately too long

Johnny hit the part dead on though.
