Call me a geek but I love this sort of stuff. Supposedly based on the true story of Kevin Mitnick although I suspect some embellishments were added along the way (the ATM machine message received by Shimomura at the end for example). If you need to ask who Mitnick is you probably wouldn't enjoy the movie.

 

Interesting, this is one of my favorite books, and I knew there was a movie made of it, but in 3 years of searching, I have never ever been able to find it.

Have you read the book? does the movie do it justice?

 

No I haven't. I must check Amazon out. Apparently there were numerous re-writes of the movie script and it languished on the shelf for nearly a couple of years before finally being released.
