choose your poison

anyway, synopsis: Two sisters who, after spending time in a mental institution, return to the home of their father and cruel stepmother. Once there, in addition to dealing with their stepmother's obsessive and unbalanced ways, an interfering ghost also affects their recovery.

Starring: Yeom Jeong-ah, Im Soo-jung, Moon Geun-young, Lim Ji-Eun, Kim Kab-su
Director: Kim Jee-woon

fun fact: Highest grossing movie in S. Korea in 2003

Just saw it tonight at the Alamo drafthouse, and I must say, it is most likely one of the best movies I have ver seen. It is most definietly the best horror movie I have ever seen. The level of horror and suspense is really pretty much unmatched by any american movie I have seen. This is the first movie I have evr actually cried out in shock in. The movie is korean w/ subtitles, which i feel gave the movie an even creepier atmosphere, hearing the inflection of the native korean, and having to read t prgress the scene. The film is done in a very artistic way, with great use of color, and framing to add the most depth and atmosphere to the scene. the story is good, and the plot will leave you guessing. its a great movie.

all in all I give it a 9 outta 10
