The main character has a dream, he carries a collage of it in his wallet. 1981, this is a Michael Mann film, which is reason enough to watch it. James Caan, Tuesday Weld, Jim Belushi, and Willie Nelson!
Large scores are taken, there is shooting, there are dreams dashed, a house blows up, cars are burned, a child is purchased, a bar is bombed, Jimy Belushi gets wasted the hard way, and there is Caan who does a great job of creating an original character that has been copied since then.
Worth a look and a listen to the soundtrack. 8 outta 10 cause it holds up well in every respect.
