Default The Time Machine sucks!

I saw this last night at a Dreamworks screening and it really sucks. If you put any value on your time or money don't go see it!

Big surprise there. It looks like a piece of crap in the trailers.

I read the book last week on my PDA during my commute (free eBooks with purchase). I had never read it and was amazed at how short it was. It was more like a short story than a book. If they make a movie out of it, they are going to have to make up a lot of stuff to fill in the time.

The movie was, however, made by H.G. Wells' great-grandson I hear.

Yeah it was directed by Simon Wells, the great-grandson of H.G.Wells. Before the movie started he came out and talked about how happy he was that it got made because he's been trying to get it made for 10 years or something. Too bad it sucked.

I'm going to go see it anyway simply 'cause I love all kinds of sci-fi. I see Roger Ebert has already crapped on it but then, I'm not going to see it for artsy-fartsy reasons. Besides, I've seen many movies that he has dumped on that I quite liked. Don't mean anything to me. I don't have his same taste in food either (I'm talking about the over abundance thereof ).

In reality, a short story would generally fair better in the conversion to film, as even a semi-creative writer could do almost a direct scene-for-scene, line-for-line conversion onto film.

Dude, I could have told you it was a piece of crap. It didn't look all that great. Too bad Guy Pierce hasn't had anything really worthwhile since Memento. Ohhh well. I'll just put a check mark next to it on my list of movies I DON'T want to see.

It wasn't as bad as you're all saying it was. It was ok, not BAAAADDDDD. I think your expectations were too high.
