Anyone else see the trailers for this upcoming movie? I first saw the trailers a week ago when I saw S.W.A.T. Definitely peaked my curiosity. Now I'm seeing 30 sec trailers on TV. The action sequences and dark look remind me of Blade and Matrix.

K. Beckinsdale (Pearl Harbor, Serendipidity) has the lead role. Initially it seems like a miscast, but she looks good in the trailers. Here's more info...

It looks like the biggest blatant rip off of The Matrix, The Crow, and Blade combined.

Even has the bullet time and the jump from the top of the building landing on feet just like The Crow.

This will be a DVD only watch for me.

 

does seem like a kind of rip off. Kate Beckinsale is pretty darn hot though. Don't have any plans to see this on opening day though

 

i'll watch any movie with kate beckinsale in it. she is damn hot and, imo, is as close to a perfect woman as any contempory actress can be. of couse it makes it that much hotter since she's wearing tight leather in this pic. aside from that, i think the movie is interesting. i'll definitely pay to watch it at the theathers, although i am not expecting to completely enjoy it. nevertheless, i'm really surprised at how much advertising they are doing for this movie. with this much publicity, you'd expect there would be bigger stars than merely kate beckinsale...

 

Damn. Just saw this movie and was very impressed. One of the best movies I've seen this year. The plot development was great...you can tell I dig this crap. And to have Katie B as our heroine, what more can you ask for. Yeah, she looks really hot in the full leather clad outfit. The battle at the end was super cool too! Thumbs way up.

 

It will be a DVD rental for me, entertaining I'm sure, but I don't see the Gee Wow factor here

Just saw it last night and I must say I thought it sucked. I like Vapire movies that stick to the rules of killing a Vapire. Wooden stake to the heart or sunlight This did not. Sorry but I give it two thumbs down.

 

Actually, there was that one revealing flashback scene where sunlight was used. Anyway, I guess you won't like Blade then...prolly my all time favorite vampire movie.

 

I remember the sunlight scene, but I was talking about the parts where they killed Vapires buy breaking their neck or almost drowning. That was just kinda stupid if you ask me, also are Vampires hearts supposed to beat?
