Wink Walk the Line

Probably one of hte best movies i've seen this year (that's including best pic nominees for 2005 Oscar's).

being a Johnny Cash fan prior, this was a great movie! and even if you don't know who the heck JOhnny Cash is, this is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to his life and music. THe songs they feature in the movie are a great start...

HIs music and sound are distinctive, and if you listen close enough, i'm sure you'll find a couple songs that will speak to you...

Great Movie!!!

meh...I saw it (I'm a J. Cash fan), but I couldn't help but feel that the movie studios are trying to jump on the "Ray" bandwagon.

I know he (along with alot of rock 'n roll stars) have similar incidents: Brother died at young age, divorce, drugs, booze, sluts etc. It seems like the same story again. I don't deny that its a great film (great acting, pacing, cinematography), but it felt more like a marketing decision to do this film (aka, oscar nominee).

I wish several years would have passed berween this and "Ray".

I liked it. Ending was touching.

I have the same problem with this movie that I have with every bio-pic.....they are a half hour too long. Take out one musical number and a little bit of stoned stupor and you have a better movie.

I would recommend and I am not a Jonny Cash fan, but a little shorter please. Joaquin (sp?) Phoenix is awsome in it. Reese Witherspoon gives me the heebie jeebies. She looks like she put her chin in a pencil sharpener.

I agree. A complaint I have about rock'n'roll biopics, is they sometimes show too much. There comes a point where I'm telling myself: "I get the point! He's a alcholic/junkie and he's trying to get over it. You don't have to show me his ups and downs 10 times!!".

If it was cut down by 20 minutes, I think I would have enjoyed it more. Not saying it would have made a better movie, but just that it might have kept my interest more.

Phoenix solidifies himself as one of the most diverse, talented actors of our time (IMO). Fantastic in every role he takes on.
