Your Thoughts on The Hulk
I thought the film was extreemly well done and yes, I am a fan of comic book. I thought Ang Lee really explored the tragic aspect of the story and just didn't focus on the action. It didn't hurt that Jennifer Conelly is HOT
I was looking forward to watching the Hulk. I had high expectations, so I guess that's why I didn't think it lived up to it. Too much dialogue and not enough action. I didn't care for him bouncing like tiger also.
I did like the few action scenes though...

Is it worth seeing?. . . That depends. . .
If you can get through the first hour and ten minutes without being bored out of your skull, then I'd recommend it. . . However, if you get bored easily, I suggest waiting for video. . .
Overall, I liked the film. However, I believe it would have played better if the editors had left 25-35 minutes of the backstory (i.e., first half of the film) on the cutting room floor. I believe that Ang Lee attempted to use the same technique that was used in the original "Jaws". Big mistake.
Whereas I commend his efforts to tell a well developed comic story on the big screen (most notably done in "Batman" & "Batman Returns"), the end result offered too little action. Which was unfortunate because the aminated Hulk was surprisingly realistic.
Bottomline, I'd rank this comic book adaptation as follows:
Not as good as "Batman", "Batman Returns", "Daredevil", "X2", "X-men", "Blade" and "Blade 2"
As good as "Spiderman"
Significantly better than "Batman & Robin" or "Batman Forever"

It is sooooooo much better than Blade2. That was a sequel that almost ruined the first. I think the back story was a key component to the movie. Without it, it would have been just a lame action flick. For those that read the comic, less back story would have been okay, but to appeal to varied audiences, you need to explain why it so tragic that he's the Hulk....IMO.
