When I was at WTD, I used a Sony bullet cam mounted under my from bumper. Problem was, it would not record audio.
Now, in addition to my camcorder, I am taking my new cam.
This is called a helmet cam. I can adapt it to mount in the S. It is an Oregon Scientific ATC 1000. It operates on 4 AAA batteries and records on a SD chip. It takes video and photo and thankfully, audio. I haven't given it a run in the S but I had played around with it and it looks like it will be very versatile.
The best part is that it is not expensive. I had looked at the Chase recorder but I didn't want to sink that much in something I might use a couple of times a year.

How much recording time do you get at the highest resolution with the 32MB card?
I went to their web site, looked at the owners manual and other information, and did not see that info.
Hi DB I have a 512 card in the unit now. I can get 32 minutes of video at 320x480pixels which is 15 frames/sec. I think I will record my runs at the dragon at a lower resolution because I can get faster frame rates.
I ran the camera yesterday and got good resolution but I noticed some slight jerkiness.
Overall I am satisfied that I got my moneys worth.
See you at DBR.
