Good night, my experience was a walk in the park

Best of luck with all of it. Once you're on the anti-virals as I recall it starts to subside in a few days, but a good 2-3 weeks until it's totaly clear (but every day is an improvement)

And they wanted us to get chicken pox as a child? I'm not so on board with that idea

When should one get the shot? I didn't think shingles was a risk until old age. And I mean even older than Ken! But if Andy got it...

i thought the same, and then got it at 31 years young... the vaccine is no good once you have symptoms (for that bout with it), and i don't believe there's any guarantee you won't get it once vaccinated - it just improves your odds. also i believe you have to get it once every few years. so do some research first!

that said, i strongly recommend it, because that ish SUCKS!!! (just ask Jeff ). I didn't have the passing out problem, but it feels like really severe burns wherever you break out with it, and not much can be done for the pain (for example, my !legally prescribed! Vicotin wasn't enough to take the edge off for me to sleep, and it worked wonders when I had a broken hand with internal/external pins holding it together for 6 weeks)

for me, it was a lot of stress that triggered it. so do what you can to manage that - way easier said than done!

this sure doesn't look like the normal musings of a car enthusiast forum does it?

I just went to my local CVS pharmacy and got both the Shingles vaccine and the flu shot for the coming flu season. Both were covered by my insurance. One in each arm and no side affects.
