Dear Ron,

Is it in bad taste to discuss the differentiation between browse and tropical grasses, using the C3 and C4 photosynthetic pathways, in the Samburu National Reserve as recorded through stable isotopes, at the Masonic Lodge #131 buffet in Grand Forks N.D.?

Yours in good taste,

HG
Not at all.

And I hesitate to add this as I'm sure you already know, but _only_ with Junior Wardens or above. Less exalted ranks would take offense.

Ron,

Can I wear white while traveling on the Anaktuvuk Pass?

Fashionably yours,

HG
Only if you're an Inupiat. Otherwise, it would be a bit on the nose, don't you think?

Ron,

If HG wears white, should I wear a lighter color, or go for a darker color?

Dave
Similar rules apply but be careful with your hues. It's a definite faux pas to look like a Southern mother's twins.

Ron,

The fate of mankind rests on your shoulders... will the Cubs go all the way this year?

Hey Hey,

Hey Hey,

Bear cubs?

Where do you want them to go to?

Do they need liberation?

If so, post it in Dear Raul!

Dear Ron:

Is the Bible divinely inspired, or merely myths?

Dear Ron:

I have been puzzled about this for decades.....

Is it true that all obvious miracles are grounded in existence. The only true miracle is that human beings can transcend existence and touch reality. When we transcend existence, however, we cannot talk about it, because when we transcend existence, we touch a Reality that cannot be understood by existence. Existence and Reality are separate levels. All that we know is that we have changed in some way.

Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The Bible started by oral tradition and borrowed from other belief structures before various codifications blessed specific writings as canon.

The question of divine inspiration is best addressed by each individual professing a Christian faith rather than relying on received wisdom.

Look into yourself, young grasshopper.

You confusion is caused by the conflation of existence and reality. The solipsists would have us believe there is no reality outside our internal experience. While this has always seemed move of a word game than honest argument, new light is being cast on the problem.

Nick Bostrom has shown mathematically that there is a significant possibility that we exist in a computer simulation of a more advanced species. An actual "Matrix," if you will.

We cannot transcend existence as that is the foundation of our being. What we _can_ do is transcend our current substrate to become posthuman.

Comes the Singularity.
