Dear Ron:
Thanks for the UFO tracking site!!!
A new question.
I have been wanting one of these for my backyard for ages!!!
Where can I get a photon collector?
I've been thinking about purchasing this one, but it is used, I would prefer new!
Photon Collector
Here are its spec's...
21 x 18 x 5
wood, wire, grill, springs, glass jar, silica beads, circuit board, electronic components
Your help in this quest would be greatly appreciated.

In this case I'm going to suggest you not invest in a photon collector. While past performance is not indicative of future results, I'm quite sure that photon values are not going to go up. And their warehousing costs are prohibitive.
Besides, you already have two photon detectors hanging in front of your brain. Granted, they aren't new by any stretch of the imagination.

Dear Ron:
Kathy says thank you for your advice.... not to buy the photon collector.
She says that with the money not spent on it, she can now go buy a Komodo Dragon!

Dear Ron:
Serious question that needs to be answered!
Why is it, when you take an aluminum foil covered cookie sheet out of the oven.... and hold it with a cookie mitt....
The aluminum foil is cooler to the touch than either the uncovered cookie sheet or the oven mitt?

It's a matter of thermal mass.
The foil is very conductive but there's just enough of it to hold any significant amount of heat and it cools rapidly as soon as it comes out of the oven.
