Default Devils Triangle

So I was looking at Google Maps for the Devils Triangle, I found 62 and 116 and looked for a twisty bit. Then I did a street view, I just picked the perfect spot and time, take a look.

ok- that is some crazy stuff there. so here's the story because the Silverstone AP1 up ahead is my previous car and the CR is JVF1 (Curt). We were driving Devil's Triangle back from the spring dragon trip 2013 or so. I remember we passed the google car and I'd been wondering if that was ever going to find its way onto Google maps. I didn't have my GoPro on for that part of the trip, but JVF1 did and I made reference to seeing the google car in the video at 10:26. If you advance the Google maps forward you'll see some more pix. Immortalized on google at speed!

Thank you so much for the post- I want to print it and make into wall art now!

Thanks for posting the video. That looks like a nice work out road. I will have to see if I can make time to hit that in the spring.

Something tells me I need to seek out this stretch of road this trip.

Not a newbie road to do. Can unsettle a car very quickly if you don’t know what you are doing.

You need to be very careful on Devil's Triangle. There are no shoulders on 90% of the road, there is no room for error. There are trees on one side and a lot of places you don't ever want to visit on the other.

I drove it today, it’s a rush, the double switchback lock to lock right left right. Don’t look at the cliff or drop off or crumbling road look where you want to go.

That's a great turn and the fact that you're going uphill (the way we drove it) makes it even more interesting.
