So are any of the Canadians or New England S2000 owners wanting to meet up early in Marion, VA. Enjoy some of the great roads in that area before heading down to Fontana for the RTD 2023 event.
Tentative Schedule:
Sunday - May 7th: Travel day to Marion, VA. Lodging at the Red Roof Inn
Monday - May 8th: Enjoy a day of driving the area north of Marion. BOTD and into West Virginia
Tuesday - May 9th: Enjoy a day of driving the area south of Marion. VA-58 and The Snake.
Wednesday - May 10th: Leave Marion, VA for the trek down to Fontana.

Great Idea Dave! I'm definately up for this as it breaks up the numbing I81 trek. I did BOTD and VA58 last fall...great roads!!

 

All the Canadians minus Darcy Curt and Dave will be not too far from you. We've got an Airbnb in Little Switzerland from the 7th to 10th. Maybe we can meet up on the Tuesday or Wednesday trip.

 

Dave, Have you had any additional takers for meeting up in Marion? I'm still up for it...just wanted to see what your plans were.

 

Plans are in place for a Double Dragon. If anyone is interested here is the dates and locations:
May 6th staying in Franklin, NC at the Sapphine Inn
Taking many of the best mountain twisty back roads to Marion,VA
May 7th to May 9th in Marion, VA at the Red Roof Inn. Meeting up with Tim
Monday May 8th take VA 16 North into West Virginia. More twisties
the Tuesday May 9th take VA 16 South and hit VA 58.
Wednesday May 10th head south to Fontana. Just can’t get enough seat time when in the mountains.
