Its good with great pavement, just don't expect much traffic to see you if you put it over the edge. At the end of the pavement, I saw a group camping last year that looked quite surprised when we came up the backside on the gravel switchbacks to see the freshly paved road.

I did this the first time I drove 32 and got the exact same look from some climbers lol. That road is a gem, tucked away and in great shape.

Here is a drive we did at RtD2019 on Friday. Lots of twisties (except for the way back on Rt 74).

Left at 9:15, back around 4:30 or so. That included about an hour at the Mast store in Waynesville.

Yesterday...yes yesterday afternoon around 3....1 week after Rock the Dragon 2019 ... I ventured out from Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC and did a "partal" DRIVE TO NOWHERE. Starting in Cherokee north on Rt441 then North in Rt321 to Maryville - about a 2 hour drive. It was just great. Suggest this drive be an early morning drive as traffic could be a bit heavy.
