Dragon Tech Day
No mechanical adjustment. But the latches sit on 3 spacers from the factory, you can remove the spacers to tighten up the clamping force, if that doesn't work then you can add washers under the striker plates to increase clamping force as well. That's about it AFAIK. The trick of adding a rubber tube over the latch hook really isn't much of a solution.
Could I also add my name for first thing Friday morning to take a look at my clutch. Not sure how the schedule is looking, but I'm hoping you can fit me in before the newbie dragon run. Thanks. Also, how does payment work?
I'm really looking forward to hanging out with all you guys and learning stuff about my new (to me) car.
I don't think my soft top is going down as far as it is supposed to so perhaps I can get someone to take a look as described in this thread. I can't reach down and snap on the front snaps of the tonneu so it must be sticking up too far.
Serious question from other threads.... am I going to have ANY problem getting AT LEAST 93 octane up there in the area? On the way back from Ft. Worth just after picking up the car I got stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and had to put in 91 octane at a Love's truck stop. My car was immediately pissed off and lit up the dashboard with what turned out to be misfires galore. Does anyone with forced induction systems carry some kind of octane boost with them for these situations? I really don't want to see any more dash lights. After a couple of tanks of 93+ and many hundreds of miles the lights thankfully went off and have stayed off since. It was check engine and VSA together. The VSA would reset on each restart and then come back on but the check engine just stayed on. About 600-800 miles later I suddenly noticed both had turned off.

The soft top has a very common failure mode regarding folding correctly. Look for replacement soft top elastic on modifry.com. Buy it now and I'll be happy to help you install it at the dragon. Continued folding incorrectly WILL wear holes in your top over time.
Edit - now that I'm at a proper computer, here's the link: http://www.modifry.com/index.php?rou...&product_id=86
Bill. I have a TCT to give you. It's one I have owed you for a few years.
In trade I hope to get a quick "feel" of what a properly gapped valve feels like and just a pointer as to what spots need filing. I think I have all the other things in check on my car. You had your hands on my car once and did your thing!
Only other thing I might have others check out is the top straps to see if they need the Modifry straps. Though my top stays down 95% of the time.
I too will also likely just watch "the man" in action.
