Hi all.
I just came up with a full day's drive for Friday. It hits many fantastic roads- hellbender, wayah, cherohola, tellico plains, 315, candy mountain, and 129. This is a rain or shine drive since once you're on the other side of the range, its typically sunny.
here's the map for those looking for about an 8 hour drive. leave about 8:30 am. Lunch in Tellico Plains.

I can't get the map to take us up 360 to Vonore from Tellico Plains, but that would be a better route.

so, to answer, maybe and yes.

this is a drive i'll likely do- my buddy Ted hasn't done this area and this is one route that hits lots of highlight roads. Its out there for anyone to do, though.

Looks great! It's a nice change from the usual drives. I think I'm in!

 

I may consider this next Spring, if you guys pull it off then. I fear I'll be a little gun shy after DFR16, to do it this year.

Going to hook up with you in Marion on Wednesday. Hope that's ok with you. Going to stay with Brett in NC the beginnings of the week. Doing ALGP the weekend before. Don't know about the Georgia part of the trip because I will doing a lot of those roads on the way up to Brett's house. I have all day to get his house. See you soon. You know me
