You didn't read my message above? Updated, tested and remote ready to go. All batteries charged, remote and camera(s) tested. Heading for Back of the Dragon this morning to do some driving.

I still can't get the remote to update.
Why in hell do you have to update a brand new, straight from the box item. That is bullsh1t! This is the crap that Microsoft started and everyone else seems to follow.

You have to follow the instructions carefully. Did you download the video editing software? That's the first step. Everything goes from there. The first time the update box comes up, you should see the remote unit. Once that's upgraded, you need to select the Remote...that will be the second option in the upgrade box. I had a problem the first time but the second time everything worked because I finally read the instructions correctly. A bit convoluted but it does work. I'm not sure why you have to update a brand new piece of equipment either but ...it works well. Now just to figure out how to have it connect to my iPad.
Mine did that too...Dave !! Pull the battery out, of the cam...I put all my new goodies back in the box, that it came in...Don't think I am going to use it.....They released it too soon...( before they had the bugs worked out )...as everyone else seems to do with their products...Just let the public work out the problems....
My remote will not connect with the wireless back 
They said that it was preconnected but I believe that when the update for the remote failed it wiped out the pairing.
I have tried to pair the two again but all I get is "failed".
I do not think I can return it as Patty tossed out all of the packaging.
