Default Hilltops and Hollers Drive

Some additional information about the Hilltops and Hollers drive on Saturday.

DRIVE 10:45 AM – 2:00 PM - Hilltops & Hollers Run – Organizer: Sheila (smccoy)/Ron (Ron)
This drive will head to Happy Valley for a “spirited” romp through some twisty-turny back roads of TN. (Portions of this drive go through residential areas, so those sections will be quite moderate.) The drive will take a little less than an 1 hour, followed by lunch at Full Service BBQin Maryville, TN.

Departure: Following the Monster Rollout and group photo on Saturday, the drive will leave from the paved parking lot where the group photo is made. At the end of the drive, we'll head in to Maryville for some great BBQ. We’ll return to the Dragon and Deal’s Gap via the Foothills Parkway. This drive puts you back at Deal's Gap around 2:00, leaving time for more Dragon runs, sightseeing or just hanging out at Fontana.

Cautions: The route is narrow and parts of the drive are a bit "bumpy", so lowered cars may want to choose other options. Full Service BBQ is a fun, casual place in a converted gas station, with (covered) outdoor seating only. Current weather report shows it being partly cloudy and around 65-68 degrees at lunchtime, so bring a jacket.

Due to the nature of the road and the lunch location, we're keeping this one to 12-15 cars. Post up if you're interested!

I'm going to have to bail on this. Sorry for the late notice, but I'm not feeling too well this morning.

As an option for lunch (or dinner) the next time you are close to Maryville, TN or make it a stop on your planned Dragon Drive ... please check out Full Service BBQ located at
113 South Washington Street
Maryville, TN 37804
(865) 981-4414Open Daily 11am - 9pm

They are using the location of a former gas station and they have kept the large awning that normally covered the gas pumps. Eating is outside and you are protected from any rain and sun .... Parking is plentiful in a rear lot or across the street at the bank that was of coursed closed on Saturday .......

If these pictures don't do it for you, let me say that the food was delectable. I think it may have been some of the best BBQ I've had in my short lifetime.

Definitely check this place out and thanks to Sheila for a great drive and lunch choice! She made sure we were back for the poker run and we won (Scotty in the red Stang did at least, from our group)!
