As far as the meeting point: Any exit after 283 is fine. 283 is not good because it is where the new 540 beltline starts so there is nothing there yet.

There is a few gas stations on 276 (where the South Point Mall is). I don't know any others but will check tomorrow and let you know what else is outthere.

Mybad, I checked the exits today...

I think the best one is exit 281 (Miami Blvd).
When you come to the end of the ramp take a left and go to the Shell station (on your left). It is about .6 of a mile from the ramp. There is a BP station across the road but it hardly has any parking space.
