LEO awareness at WTDX
I'm just curious on other people's thoughts on this subject. Over the course of the weekend, there were several instances where the LEO's seemed to have a very good idea of where we would be and when. In the past I think we've been more secretive about specific event times & locations, sharing them only by email or PM. Of course doing so makes it very hard for us to all talk about & plan for those events within the forum. Further, they only need to register to gain access to the same info. There probably isn't a great solution here, but I'm hoping we can come up with something.
Some occasions that left me wondering:
- The red car that went into the mountain on thursday night on rt28. Apparently the LEO asked the driver if he was "part of that midnight run" (there was an organized midnight run that evening, about the same time of his incident)
- The entire Robbinsville group getting pulled over where 28 opens up
- Two LEO's waiting at Deal's Gap when we came up for FCPD, and followed us in a few minutes later (one of which ended up getting me - warning only, thankfully)
- I spoke to a local s2000 owner a few hours before FCPD, who was acquaintances with one of the more friendly LEOs. He was told that they were planning to have at least 7 troopers on the dragon by 4pm that day (which, coincidentally, was the start time of FCPD)
Maybe I'm paranoid, and I kind of hope I am. What do some others think?

I mean if we decide to only share via email/pm, they would just have to register as a passenger and would get all the info. It's a good $40 investment on their part!
