Cortez, I had worried that our frivolity with the Tree of Shame just made you feel worse about what had just happened. I hope that it helped to lift your spirits, I'm sure you understood/understand that.

Also, I know EXACTLY how you feel. You know about my FIRST S2000, right? Throuh no fault of someone else, I ran mine into a wall...so the depth of your loss is certainly something I can related to. That said, the important thing is that you are (relatively) OK. We noticed the ruptured vessel in your eye, but I'm sure you will be OK. Make sure to have yourself checked out if you feel anything is amiss.

In the end, you are fine and that's all that matters. And it could have been SOOOO much worse. It's amazing timing that there was no one coming around that blind turn just ahead of where you went off...thank God for that!

If your body shop has all the modern equipment as you say, you would be surprised how good a job they can do on the car. But I also understand why you would not want to have it back. I sure didn't want mine back, but it had more than twice the amount of damage yours does. It also depends on the degree to which the frame is damaged...there are lots of factors here and it's a complicated business.

Anyway, it was great to meet you and I look forward to seeing you on the road soon, Threadkillah'!

Hey WebGod, was that just a "courtesy post" so that Threadkillah' would be doing his thing again?!
