Looking for some great roads to travel to and from the dragon. Me and the wife will have a couple days before and after the dragon, and are looking for some great roads and scenery. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We will be coming down from Pittsburgh.

Southwest Virginia is very scenic. You can find lot's of side roads through the country. Of course the Blue Ridge Parkway is always a nice drive. Lot's of overlooks and parks along the way.

One thing you might like is to take in the Barter Theater in Abingdon, VA. Tickets are fairly reasonable and the actors and sets are definately professional. They usually have a couple of different performances going on each day. Barter Theater
Abington is a neat little southern town with several B&B's and the Martha Washinigton Inn. It is about 20 miles north of the Tennessee state line.

If you want to venture down to the Asheville, NC area you might consider hooking up with our I-40 convoy on Friday PM. There is a thread separate thread in the Carolina's Owners board.

If you want to head toward Winston-Salem, which is about 95 minutes from the I-77 & I-81 junction, then PM me and we'll talk more. Look forward to seeing you guys soon.
