OK..... I'm using Looters post from WTD as a starting point! (Thanks Denny, sure hope you change your mind and come along! )

We will be having our "Departure Dinner" on Wednesday eve.. September 14th @ the Original Montgomery Inn, 9440 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio (http://www.montgomeryinn.com/)

Time will be around 7...7:30PM.... I will need a list of those who want to come to dinner....They are very particular, with the numbers...for seating arrangements !!!!!! I'm hoping our own Lindsey will set this up for us !!! (much appreciated Lindsey )!!!

Now for our Thursday morning departure, September the 15th!

Get here early to mingle and meet!!!! Hooters parking lot, Newport, Kentucky... 301 Riverboat Row, 41071...

Will be leaving at 10:00 AM sharp...

Leave Hooter's...I-471 to I-75/71 South... stop in Berea, Ky, 25 miles South of Richmond Ky. (2nd Berea exit!!!) to Kentucky Rt-21. We will grab a bite to eat, fuel-up...and meet-up with the Louisville, Indy, Lexington, and Central Ky. peeps if any are going down....

Depart Berea, next stop is ....... (one of the following, not sure what people want to do yet)...

1. Airport Hilton
.....(a) check in and stay for the evening
.....(b) check in, and then go to Gatlinburg to the Park Grill for dinner

2. Straight to Gatlinburg, TN, dinner at the Park Grill (http://parkgrillgatlinburg.com/), we'll stop for gas at the same Exxon station as always.

For the way back from Gatlinburg, we will do either....
.....(a) back thru the Smoky's on River Road to Rt 321 back to the Hilton (44 miles, 1:21 hours)
.....(b) back thru the Smoky's on River Road to Rt 321, then do the Foothills Parkway, to the western part of Rt 129, to Rt 336, and back to the Hilton (83 miles, 2:13 hours)


Please "Sign-Up" if you are coming with us.... and let me know if you plan on attending the dinner on Wednesday, September 14th, @ Montgomery Inn.... plus if you are heading to Gatlinburg for dinner at the Park Grill.

The usual group of reprobates and ne'er-do-wells will be meeting you in Maryville at the Exxon station if that's what you decide to do. Otherwise, I think we should drive to Gatlinburg and go to Park Grill.

On the drive back, I think this is probably the better option: .....(a) back thru the Smoky's on River Road to Rt 321 back to the Hilton (44 miles, 1:21 hours). I'm not sure that after driving most of the day, people would want to spend another 2+ hours in the car. Either way, we'll be there.

 

As it stands right now it will be just me. We're not sure Patty can get away.

 

Might just start a Park Grill Thread as we get closer....

Might be easier than to try and do it in this thread.

That's a good idea. If you're getting in about the same time Thursday as usual, there'll be plenty of daylight and time left to get to Park Grill. Deserves it's own forum for sure.

 

Heck..... from Cincy Hooters, its only like 4:22 hours to the Hilton.... and I'm sure we will shave a couple of minutes off of that!

Leave at 10:00.... add 1:30 hours for lunch/gas...

Should get there around 3:45-4:00......
