PLEASE don't forget
Please don't forget to stop by the New Orleans forum and give them a hard time about me and TOF (who is actually from Mississippi) being the only ones from our region to make it to WTD. They just can't seem to comprehend the pure insanity of the event, and even the pictures will do no justice. Seriously, lay it on thick....

I really appreciate you guys saying a few kind words on our behalf. It's a shame that participation at the dragon events is so poorly represented by our area.
You wanna know the really sad part? Some of these guys get so caught up in JDM parts, paint jobs, clay bars and carnuba wax that they forget what is really important:
If you strip away all of the plastic parts, the fancy body panels and PERFECTIONIST paint jobs the S2000 is still an S2000. The essence of the car doesn't exist in shaved bumpers and stereo systems. The essence of these amazing machines exists between the throttle and our right foot; the tips of our fingers and the steering wheel... There is a connection between man and machine that words simply can't describe. Carving through those twists and turns really puts you in touch with what it's all about: feeling like you and the car are part of each-other. Without the car you are only a man... and without the driver, a car is just a brilliant heap of metal and plastic. It's an amazing feeling when your every movement is so fluid that you don't even have to think about your next move. When your foot gets into that throttle, shifting gears, rev matching and steering inputs become as effortless and as natural as the beating of our hearts and the breathes that we take. The sweet sounds of 9,000rpm singing "ode to the 6 speed" is more beautiful music than any fancy sound system can produce.
It never fails to put a smile on my face when I step out of my car, out of the beautiful extension of my existence, and I go "WOW! Did that just happen?!?! Did I just do that?!?!"
And THAT gentlemen, is what it's all about. Hopefully I will be able to impart my wisdom on the New Orleans crew and remind them what the S2000 is all about.

"ode to the 6 speed"???
Who got into 6th gear at the Dragon???
It IS possible to have both...the "perfectionist" paint job
and stereo system and still have the desire to push the
car to its limits. That is what makes the Dragon so special,
you can do both at one meet!
