Default Post-Franklin, pre-beer swap, Friday afternoon drive

Hello all.

I would like to see Bridal Falls this time (gone to the Dragon twice before and still haven't been). The best opportunity seems to be right after finishing the Franklin visit.

This is my propposed route. Franklin - Highlands - Lake Toxaway - Tuckasegee - Sylva - Almond - Fontana, in time for some rest before the beer swap.

Post if interested.

There are some really fun roads out that way. Bridal Veil is a neat photo. Here's mine underneath it last November.

I wish I was able to make it up there sooner, but I don't get back home until late Thursday and we won't make it up too long before the beer swap.

I would like to come.
Is the link just a pinpoint of the falls location or is it directions? I'm trying to bookmark it on my phone.

It was supposed to be a detailed route ... don't know what happened. Will re-post asap!

Pedro et al - for those of you going to the Dragon this weekend, look for a bunch of crazy runners just east of you. The +1 will be running the Smoky Mountain 200-Mile Relay with a team in the mountains of NC early Fri AM into Sat PM. Some of the route is logging roads, but a lot is not. Attached is a map of the course (takes a minute to load). The end of the race is very close to Fontana Dam (upper left corner).
