Default S2KCA Membership and the Dragonball Run

As you all know, the Dragonball Run is an S2KCA-sponsored event. This means that we will be covered by a very important liabilty insurance policy. The policy protects attendees from someone who tries to sue you as the result of a mishap during the event. And we all know how court-happy this country has become.

So this is a very nice benefit to have for events of this nature...on public roads and on crazy runs like the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway. This is the exact kind of policy that the NSX club carries (same insurance carrier, even) and in fact, all car clubs carry this kind of policy. It's one benefit to tying into the national organization.

What this means is that in order for the policy to take effect, you must be a member of the S2KCA, which carries a fee of 35 dollars a year. I want everyone to know about this in advance and as long as you sign up before the event, you are cool. Check out www.s2kca.com for the membership application.

Also, if you attended S2KDays Asheville '01, you are already a member and you don't need to join again.

So check out https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=24902 to see other benefits to being a member.

Happy motoring!

Hmmm, great idea! I'm sure we can find some fatass tattoo'd Harley rider at the Dragon to give us some tattoo tips!

I'm TRYING to quit working, gonna get some VTEC therapy on the ride home...

I was at S2k Days in Asheville, so no need for me to join twice .

If I didn't go back then I would be registering now. We've already had one close call on one of our mountain drives so it's easy to see that something could happen.

Can't have too much insurance.

Greggers,

I attended and paid at Asheville. However I was late getting down to that dinner where everyone was signing stuff. Was that the form you needed to add me to the covered persons list? How do I rectify if that is the case?

Keith, head over to www.s2kca.com and grab an application, print it and mail it per the instructions on it. Then you're golden!

Please remember that the liability insurance doesn't take the place of your auto insurance. The liability insurance protects the organizers and participants against law suits and claims made against them - not damage to your car.
