Thanks guys...!
It was great meeting you all, too.
I contacted the dealer that the car was brought to about 8 this morning and they said they were already looking at it. I was most worried about it being out in an unsecured parking lot last night, but nothing has happened. We could only fit my bare necessities out of my car into WSB's car, but I was concerned about the wheels, etc. Anyway, that seems to be OK.
I explained to them the situation and they are looking into it now.
I'll keep you posted as to what they find and how much (gulp) this is going to cost me...errr, I mean, how much it's going to cost the mf'ers at the Shell station!
Stay tuned...

Greg, my neighbor across the street had a similar problem with Quicktrip gas. He turned in the claim and the company paid it, no questions asked. He just had to send in the work order showing that the problem was fuel related.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Greg,
I pumped bad gas into my Porsche one time. I took a mechanic's bill and a jar with about 25% gas floating on top of 75% dirty water back to the station.
Bill paid, no questions.
Hope you have the same luck!

Greg,
Do you remember if there was a gas truck at the station at the time you bought the bad gas?
I used to order gas for a number of stations when I lived in Ohio and I was told by the drivers that while the truck is filling the underground tanks that it is not a good idea to pump from those tanks. When the underground tanks are being filled, all of the residue at the bottom of the tank is mixed with the gas and may cause problems at the pump. Each pump does have a filter but no one really monitors how often they are changed.

Greg, let me add my condolences to the long list.
I was in a gas station recently filling up. The manager walked by the pump on his way to do something else and remarked as he went by, "Boy that's slow. Filter must need changing." Well, that was real encouraging. What kind of scheduled maintenance program do they have at these places, anyway?
Hope you're back on the road soon. And never say about the gas you use, "Frankly, Scarlet doesn't give a damn."
