Default Scarlet didn't make it home... :(

Yes, about 107 miles away from Chicago, Scarlet died.

WSB and I had stopped to get gas near Lafayette Indiana and IMMEDIATELY afterwards, my car starting pinging, detonating, misfiring, etc...

We got about 7-8 miles away and she finally gave up. She died on the side of I-65.

Called Honda Care to have her flatbedded and I was asked, "Sir, what kind of car is an S2000, is it an SUV?"

Well, the wrecker shows up about an hour later and carts my little banshee off.

It's quite obvious that the gas was the problem, I am going to have a dealer drain the old and put in new gas...then pick her up in a few days.

Man, what a pisser....

But the event was really excellent. Mack and company did a terrific job and we got lots of Dragon-time in...that was outstanding! I also took some great video. SuzukaSue was riding with me a lot this weekend and she took some great video of the Dragon runs, as well. I'm looking forward to those!

Well, I'll keep you posted as to what happens. I'm just glad to be home safe and sound and thanks to WestSideBilly for dealing with this like a champ.

He's on his way home near Green Bay...he has a couple more hours drive!

Luck of the draw on trips. Sucks though . Did you decide that your rear end was OK?

Well, the vibration is still definitely there...I'll be taking her in for that after I get her back. What a PITA...

Sorry to hear this. I know if really is a PITA to breakdown anywhere, especially on the interstate. I hope everything gets straightened out for you.

Enjoyed meeting you and look forward to all of us getting together again soon.

Sorry to hear you had problems on the way home Greg!

You probably were not going fast enough, and fouled your plugs!

Should have been driving like you did Saturday afternoon on I-75!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made me do this ==>

Going too slow wasn't an issue. We were making excellent time (much better then my 12 hour marathon on thursday). Oh well!
