Check out my travels at www.mikethewanderer.com . I have listed a full itinerary, as well as (semi)-daily updates and pictures from places like Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Milan, Venice, and now Vienna. I'm leaving for Salzburg on Friday.

Greetings from Vienna. Much love,
Mike
Great blog Mike! If I may make a suggestion, if you have time take a short day or day/night trip to Ljubljana Slovenia. (It should be an easy train ride). Just a very interesting and beautiful place especially if you like dragons....

I'm sooooo bummed I'm going to miss it this year. I've been backpacking around Europe for about a week now, and I'll be here until August 7th. Europe has been great, but it still doesn't beat seeing some of my favorite friends. I guess I'll just have to wait until DBR to get my fix. Anyway, I expect you all to take lots of pictures for me... preferably some more of Raul getting drunk and acting like an asshat.

Easy train ride... not so easy pronunciation!

I have weekend trips planned to Berlin and Munich during my study program. Perhaps I can convince someone to tag along to Slovenia overnight. It looks like my Eurail pass is valid there too!

Thanks for the suggestion.

If you do go, I recommend Hostel Celica http://www.souhostel.com/ . Its a former prison turned hostel and art gallery, and its about 4 blocks from the station.

And its pronounced lew-blan-ya.

I'm done hijacking your thread now, Sheila!

That's OK; I was sent a cool Dragon photo from Lew-blan-ya when you went!

hmm, seeing as i'm unemployed now, it's rather easy to clear up the schedule... but will the better half be OK with me taking off for a weekend down there & the related expense? or maybe I can just bring her?

I'm optimistic but not hopeful...

if we don't make it, ya'll have fun!
Hope to see you there!
