I would REALLY LOVE to see a 'Tunnel Run'... cruising through the SM Nat'l Park towards Pigeon Forge et all and looking for tunnels to run.... That would be DA BOMB! And if you guys don't want to go, can you find me a map (since you live up there) of the route with the most tunnels? I'll lead a group on that map for you.

Hmmm....

I'm not sure about that one but I'll look into it. I think some of the best tunnels around are right here in town.......or on 40 headed to Asheville.

Hahahaha.. a tunnel run!!

Lets all take off our air cleaner cover and make it even louder!!!

Had a great time at Asheville Days doing that. Near where we stayed in Asheville, there was a tunnel that I know a lot of us ran a few times!

Yeah I remember back in the day driving with my folks through SMN Park and enjoying all the mountainous climbs, views and falls and tunnels... all under the the nice cool trees... it is one of the most beautiful drives to be had. I'd love to smell the forests and kickass through loops, hairpins and tunnels...

Only problem for me this time, is that the Smoky's are in the wrong direction after we are done in Knoxville.

Guess its time to get out the maps, and find a better drive home than I-75!

Here is a link with some route suggestions in the Smoky's (well, sans the unpaved, off-road stuff!). I thought it may be helpful if this is something folks are interested in doing on Sunday. It may be kind of slow due to traffic, but if the weather is nice, we could have a real purdy drive! I DO like how it mentions curvy roadage...hmmm
