Default Thursday Group Drive to meet the OKI Group and Dinner at Riverstone Family Restaurant

I will be leading a somewhat spirited drive to Maryville, TN on Thursday, September 11th. We'll leave Fontana from the Wildwood Grill parking lot around 1:00pm and drive the Dragon to Foothills Parkway. We'll drive the Foothills Parkway to Maryville where we'll meet the OKI crew. We will meet at the traditional Exxon, 2428 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37804. Then the combined group will drive to Townsend and have dinner at Riverstone Family Restaurant, 8509 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Townsend, TN 37882. After dinner, we'll drive Foothills Parkway to the Tennessee side of the Dragon. We'll divide into two groups (Spirited and Newbie) and drive the Dragon at night. If you'd like to come along on this great adventure, just post in order to make Riverstone restaurant reservations. This drive is open to anyone who likes the Dragon, good food and great friends but you must post in this forum. If you don't post, you will NOT be able to attend.
I'll need a tailgunner for this somewhat spirited drive.

NOTE: RESTAURANT CHANGE. WE WILL NOT GO TO GATLINBURG!

Attendees:
DragonDidg (Michael)
kgf3076 (Ken)
jukngene (Gene)

How 'bout the BP on 321 just north of the Foothills (link)? There's more room there for the cars and the Michael's group wouldn't have to backtrack as far.

Or in Townsend there's a Marathon (link) and Exxon (link).

Good suggestions: The BP on 321 North of the Foothills looks like the best place. We should be able to get everyone turned around and grouped up to convoy to restaurant.

Well... at first I was going to agree with this.........

But then.... a lot of socializing takes place at the Exxon......

Since the restaurant is small, would hate to tie up 20-40% of their tables while we socialize.....

So, guess I am in favor of meeting at a gas station somewhere before the restaurant..... that way we can also get the cars filled up!

Another advantage of meeting at the gas station.... the Riverstone only has one toilet per gender!!!

Edited the first post to include New Restaurant and BP gas station for joining up the two groups. I need the best guess for arriving Maryville to leave Fontana timely.
