Warning to all attendees. Please Read!
As some of you are aware, Fontana has recently made it clear that there cannot be any alcohol in any public area. I know for a fact that this includes the lobby, pool deck and I suppose it could includes others. From what I can tell, they are serious on this issue, and we have been warned, that we could get fined and even booted as a group for breaking the rules. This is not a post to discourage you from bringing your own beverages. From what I can tell you are free to do so as long as you keep it away from the public areas. I am sure that there are a few of you, like myself, who partook in a tasting or two in the lobby at past events. Unfortunately, we cannot continue that tradition in that setting. To keep from over stepping our bounds I would like to ask that all adult beverages be kept to more confined areas like your room or cabin. Please do your part to keep us in good standing with Fontana, and know that they may take action on the entire group if you break the rules.
If you have questions about this, please PM me and I will do my best to answer them.

I knew it was just a question of time when that rule would be implemented. I was surprised they allowed it as long as they did. We got too loud and I'm sure the other guests complained.
It was a helluva lot of fun while it lasted.
I hope y'all have a good time in spite of the new restriction. Please be safe.

Can't believe all the other car groups that have Fontana as their HQ don't have an issue with this....

I checked with Fontana and they confirmed that the only place we can do the bourbon tasting is a room or a cabin. They are still in a dry county and the liquor license they have is awarded to them under special permit. I would ask if we could use one of the rooms on the lower level but I think it would involve having an officer there for security.
