Great to see you are back Mack. . .

Some for Maryville and the rest are for Alcoa, which I think is still closer to the Dragon than Knoxville. . .

Maryville, TN 37801 (Unless Noted)

411 Motel 2651 Hwy. 411 S. 865/982-5361
Mountain View Motel 1901 West Broadway 865/984-9518
Princess Motel (AAA) (MOBIL) 2614 U.S. Hwy. 411 South 865/982-2490
Shamrock Motel 3003 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy. 865-984-6281
West Side Motel 320 West Broadway (Hwy. 411) 865/983-8161

Alcoa, TN 37701

Comfort Suites 140 Cusick Road 865/984-9840/800-228-5160
Executive Lodge (AAA) 215 Hall Rd. 865/984-9958
Fairfield Inn (AAA) 126 Cusick Road 865/984-9350/800-228-2800
Family Inns of America (AAA) 2450 Airport Hwy. (US 129) 865/970-2006--800-352-8383
Hampton Inn (AAA) 148 International Avenue 865/983-1101/800-HAMPTON
Hilton Knoxville Airport (AAA) 2001 Alcoa Hwy. (US 129) 865/970-4300--800-445-8667
Holiday Express Hotel & Suites 130 Associates Blvd. 800-HOLIDAY, 865/981-9008
Jameson Inn 206 Corporate Place 865-984-6800,
fax 865-984-8333
MainStay Suites 361 Fountain View Cir. 865-379-7799/800-660-MAIN
PineTrace Inn- Airport (AAA) 2306 Alcoa Hwy. (US 129) 865/970-3140
Days Inn 2962 Alcoa Hwy. 865/970-3060/800-272-6232

Alcoa seems to have a few more "brand" names. . .the Comfort Suites or Fairfield Inn may be good choices. . .Hilton seems to be a good value and may be best for our group. . .

Fairfield Inn (Alcoa) No online rates (will call)

Comfort Suites (Alcoa) $69 per night (before group discounts)

Hampton Inn (Alcoa) $78 per night (before group discounts)

Hilton (Alcoa) $79 per night (before group discounts)

What are your thoughts?

Airgate, any of the last 4 hotels in Alcoa sounds good. Of those, my first choice might be Comfort Suites. The determining item will be how much any one hotel is willing to accommodate the car crowd.

You know the list of priorities. The Knoxville Hotel was good in many ways so I think if you take all the good points and reapply that criteria to the "final four" we can make a good decision.

Maybe Mack or Keith could go down and scope out the place before we make a final commitment.

I would say anything with a Hampton Inn and Suites or Comfort Suites would be good.

Any of those four would work.

As S2kDude said "The determining item will be how much any one hotel is willing to accommodate the car crowd."

Ranking the hotels needs to be done based on:
1. cost
2. roped off parking area
3. restuarants within walking distance
4. hospitality suite
5. area for vendor expo if hospitality suite not to be used
6. hoses for washing cars
7. ?????

One determining factor on all of this, is how many people do we anticipate showing up?

Are we looking at 30 cars, 50, 70 or more? I realize that some of the people from Asheville Days will head west for the S2k Days rally, so, I wonder how many people might show up?

You deserve plenty of credit for getting the Atlanta group behind this. What if ya'll had planned another event in conflict with ours? It wouldn't have been the same.

smccoy. . .no problem. . .I will definately call on you!

Lovetodrive2000: Great points. I am away on business right now (I'm in Charleston! smccoy's favorite place!)

At any rate, I will call each hotel and see what can be worked out. I'll try to get them to accomadate us on everything. . .

Price
Hospitality Suite for night talks/vendor showing
Restaurants within walking distance
Roped off area of parking lot to accomadate our S2000's
Water hoses
Breakfast included in the morning

Sounds great. . .I'll get right on it and should have something concrete by Thursday late afternoon! Check back then!

Excellent Mack! When you have time, please check out the Comfort Suites, Fairfield Inn and Hampton Inn. I have a feeling they may be much more accomadating than Hilton!

I could'nt find any pics of these hotels on the internet so if you could take pics and "scope" out the parking lot, that would be excellent!

Thanks!
