Folks:

Before you know it, April will be right around the corner. We have an excellent opportunity and a few months of planning before the event.

However, I believe John told me last year in April at the S2kDays event in Asheville that the event had taken close to a year to plan and prepare! When you start to think of all that is involved, it's easy to see how TYMEFLYS! (pun intended! )

What we need to do now is assemble a TEAM of folks that is committed to planning this event in April. This will give all of the folks who are interested in attending a contact person. Instead of ideas flying from all over.

Once we have this TEAM assembled, we can begin delegating responsibilities such as hotel arrangements, drives and mapping, owner packets and information, lunch and dinner accommodations, vendor support, t-shirts and prizes to give away! In addition to time being of the essence, we will need to have a forum set up for the event so that we can start sharing our plans with everyone on the board.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this TEAM, go ahead and post now so that we can begin to organize our efforts. We'll also need to come up with a name for the event. Although, I believe WestSideBilly had a great one. . .I'll search for it!

Thanks everyone. . .with the right planning, we will once again have an absolute blast come April!

I'll give it what time I can. I'm slightly more busy this time due to a few new responsibilities on the job and an outside project or two. But I'll be around.

You deserve plenty of credit for getting the Atlanta group behind this. What if y'all had planned another event in conflict with ours? It wouldn't have been the same.

High-fives all around,

Thanks for the nomination.

I've been out of town for a few days. Looks like things are really begining to heat up around here!! I'll have some input when I've got a bit more time to reply.
