Default Where was everybody?

Guys, I'm kind of dissapointed. While I wasn't a DBX participant, I was in the area this weekend visiting some family. I was out both nights and was kind of dissapointed that nobody came up from Fontana to drive at night expect for Rick, Jeremy, and Jeremy on Friday night. My buddy and I ran until about 1am Friday night and hung out with Killboy and Killgirl until about 4am on Saturday (yes, we ran even in the fog and rain).

Why did you guys stay away? Did we smell bad? Not even curious as to see what it's like to drive the Dragon at night?

Running the Dragon at night is quite an experience... I won't attempt to speak for others...but I'll tell you that 75% of the folks who came to DBRX were well seasoned Dragon lovers...and the other 25% were new to it. I'm sure the new folks weren't interested in driving that stretch of road at night as it is doubly (if not triply - Haha!) as challenging. And again, the more seasoned folks probably did it, enjoyed it and that's that.

This event was VERY much about the PEOPLE. Lots of time was spent catching up and socializing...we left the driving for the day time hours.

Side note, your lights made me LOL when I saw them on Saturday.

Lets see where people were...

Friday night... on the ballfield meeting people, bourbon... tequila.... beer!

Saturday night..... banquet night..... had a few to drink before hand and at.... then off to the fire pit.... which ended up at Ron/Sheila/Raul/Jamie/Kallen's cabin! Another few drinks there... Then with it raining....

Don't think I would want to be out on the Dragon after drinking!!

I do remember seeing your car (can't miss the fog lights) on saturday, but I don't recall any posts about night driving. I was a Dragon newbe this time around, so I really wanted hang at the DBR activities. However, a night run the next time I'm up there is on my to-do list.

Yeah man, I thought a few people would get a kick out of them. Unfortunately, the weather was so bad Saturday night, that I could only run the fogs - the brights and driving lights just made the situation worse.

Dragon night run; been there, done that.

Mikey's right; with all the social activities and the commencement of the cocktail hour(s), no more night runs for me!
