Hello fellow S2KI members at the dragon this year me and my gf will be doing windshield repairs for you guys! We went last year and saw that there was a decent amount of S2000s that had rock chips or even cracks in their windshields. We will be at the dragon from Friday morning till Sunday around noon, if you already have one or get one on the drive down let me know, we plan on being near the car wash area behind the restaurant. It will be hard to get a hold of us since their is no way to call us, we will be bringing walkie-talkies down I have a AP2 BB with a Red S on the back and cut outs in the fenders and my gf has a red AP2 with hood vents and a black S on the back. We will be doing repairs for $40 and $5 for each additional hit and $50 for cracks(retail for my company is $69.95). (cracks are very weird and hard to do, we wont be able to do them all and any crack over 5 inches we most likely we wont be able to do every one is different and we will have to see it before we can guarantee that we will be able to repair it.) I just want to let everyone know a ahead of time that the repairs take about 30min and you can drive after 10 min of the car siting in the sun once it has been repaired. We can not repair when the w/s is wet (so do not wash or clean the w/s before you come to us) the car needs to sit for at least 4 hours in the sun prior if you have washed it, the water will mess up the repair and cause it to distort and turn out wrong and we wouldn't be able to insure that the w/s doesn't split. We are both experienced and have been working for my fathers company for over 4 years we use high quality resin that will hold for a life time and dries clear. The repairs will still be visible after it has been repaired and anywhere from 75%-95% better and never spread.

The only time we don't plan to do repairs is at night (since the sun is needed to do repairs) and on Sat during the huge roll out but after we will be able to do them again.
We will accpet Cash and Credit we have a a card swiper with modern phones it should work but not a 100% sure with no service.

I'm planning on being first in line. Why do stone chips always happen right in your line of sight?

 

The little rock chip that don't break into the glass we cant do to much for we can semi clear them up but its a piece of the glass that was taken out and we cant undo that, its just unfortunate that we get so much road rash from sitting so low. We can take out most of the white but just like a repair there is no way to make it invisible. As far as why it always hits the drivers side is bc life is cruel haha. I got lucky when it happened to me it was really low right next to the Honda logo on the glass. There are also about 6-10 different kinds of stone chips each one reacts different and you have to use a different technique for each one.
