Thanks for the feedback, everyone! We'll be compiling a summary to review with Fontana staff, as well as pointing them directly to this thread for the more "candid" comments.

Hi Sheila, do you have any feedback yet from the Fontana management? It seems they got back to us a lot sooner last year.

I hope I will have a response when I start digging through my tons of emails this week!
Will certainly let you know what we hear.
I don't know if this has been tried/discussed in the past, but has anyone ever tried setting up "spotters" on the top and bottom of the dragon.
If the technology part could be worked out (i.e. I don't know if cell phones or radios would be capable of this "up there"), we could take turns watching for officers entering from either end...maybe one at the bottom, one in the middle and one at the top... maybe smoke signals...just a thought. With a group our size, it might be possible. It could also cut down on response time if someone had an incident.
This thought is even more "out there," but, years ago, I had the chance to drive a friend's open-wheel car in a "hill climb/time trial." It was intense. Does anyone have any idea how those events are organized/sanctioned? Could you imagine having the whole hill to yourself with the knowledge that nothing was coming in the other direction???

I hope that "not tolerating stupidity" comment was not directed at me. I happen to be a very safe driver. I certainly didn't mean to prevoke any hostility. The only reason I mentioned it was that I have been reading all the posts about members getting tickets this year. I was not implying we should do anything stupid or reckless.
As others have said, I was extremely disappointed in the service and condition of my cabin at WTD. My cabin was way back in the corner, so when the power went out, I was screwed. They didn't have flashlights or candles for us. I had to use the light from my cell phone to pack. Also, I didn't have hot water all weekend. There's no reason to be out of food when you know 5 months in advance how many people you have coming. I also work in the food industry, and we would be able to prepare better in 5 days than Fontana did in 5 months. Easy access to the Dragon is good, but they need to do a lot better with their service and preparation.
