Work has clamped down on what ports are open.... they really don't want any non-approved software installed....

What a complete slap in the face to all the folks who put so much time and energy into organizing this event.
A constructive approach would involve contacting the organizers and submitting your ideas/proposals, not taking public cheap shots.
