Has anyone driven Little River Rd (end of Lamar Alexander Pkwy/Old State Highway 73-Scenic Hwy) to Gatlinburg. That looks like a great road. Here is a link to what I'm talking about: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d...e=UTF8&t=h&z=11

Denny:
Follow the route the other direction from G'burg... not the dark highlighted route..
It is the shortcut to Pigeon Forge from Townsend.

The other road, is the 1 thru the park....Long & twisty....It comes out @ the Sugarlands Visitor's center, just outside Gatlinburg, @ traffic light #10, next to the Park Grill, and by that package liquor store just across the street....
....Remember the Viper, going out that night...that couldn't stay on the road

Yep, that's the road I was asking about. Rt 321 there is Lamar Alexander Hwy which turns into Wear's Valley Rd which becomes the Old Scenic Hwy. Too bad about the traffic. Looks like a great road.
Actually as Mike said...It is very commercial. Lots of RV's...trucks etc..use it. The best way is thru the park...Much more scenic...however, you take your chances on it too...With RV's, pull behind campers, Hogz....
etc.........and when you get to G-Burg, you are right where we need to be !!!!

We'll be coming from where we need to be...we'll be going to where people we like are going to be, we'll all be going back where we need to be (for a couple of days anyway

I did enjoy the road through the park, but we were in the Pilot, so setting the cruise at 35 gave enough of a thrill through the corners. The scenery was certainly spectacular.
Ya think we could drive the Rich Mtn Rd out of Cade's Cove, or Parson Branch Rd down to the Tail? Neither one of them are paved, as far as I recall, but I'm sure Stewie could handle it. =)

I just put a 6" lift kit on the S2000.... I'm game!

That is a great idea Mike...Now all you have to do, is turn around on those crutches, open the door, and fall into the "S'.....
