From what I could find in out of the list in this (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=629491) thread it is 216 guys who have paid the deposit. So 216 cars then?

I really like the idea of a Honda garage on 'stand-by'. Despite the reliability, there's bound to be a few people with issues, and it will give us peace of mind to know there is a ready supply or tyres, and other easily fixable bits.

I am an American living in Germany and would love to go to this? Is it too late to sign up?

At the moment you're too late unfortunately.

Deadline was 31 October and we're fully booked at the minute.
There are a few options open to you however:

1) You could maybe passenger and room share with one of the "single" german attendees
2) I can put you on a standby list. That way if anybody withdraws/cancels I can give you an option to take their place.

Can't do anymore than that at the moment sorry.
Hope you understand.
