Default The OCD thread

The German Way thread has started talking about how to get the S looking the business for arrival in Trento, such an important topic I think it deserves a thread of its own.

After 800+ miles we're all bound to be looking like we've been in a WRC stage.

Anyone got any ideas /plans on how to get a wash en route without spending a day hunting for a hand car wash (I'm talking about the cars here.....!)

I'll be taking my auto glym cleaning bag, and collapsible bucket, and stopping at service stations with a pressure washer to give it a good clean.

Been white with white wheels it'll need a good couple of cleans on the way down

I have some of these, they are GREAT !

Maybe we could ask Tangoman to put together a Euromeet 'travel pack' of small but essential cleaning goods, like a GB.

I'll approach him and see what hie thinks.

I'll bring some Quick detailer, microfiber and some other basics I think. But I should really have one of those "folding buckets" as well. And as mentioned wash by hand on gas stations if possible. Can't "wash" the car with quick detailer... Don't want scratches and swirls all over the car! At least I really hope there are some places not to far away from the Euromeet area where it's possible to wash the car.

I'm sure you can get fold up water containers from camping suppliers.
something like this:

Not sure if they are practical for washing a car though. Is this the kind of thing your talking about Kiwi ?

I'm starting to wonder if there's gonna be much room left for clothes with all the stuff you have to take. Wait till I tell wifey she's only got the space under the boot floor panel !

No, wait for Tango to come up with something, he usually supplies the goods.
