Civic Type-R to S2000?
Has any of you owned or driven the Civic Type-R a lot before getting into an S2000??
For you having driven and enjoyed both I have a few questions:
How is the S2000 gearing compared to the CTR?? I love going through the close gears in VTEC with the CTR, is the S2000 similar in this regard??
Is the S2000 VTEC engine much more high strung than the CTR i-VTEC engine?? Especially after the Hondata the CTR pulls strong even in the low RPMs and has a really nice power curve. Will the S2000 feel gutless after the CTR in the low-mid range area??
The CTR is so much fun after Quaife LSD, AEM CAI, DC RH, Hondata, a catback exhaust and coilover suspension.. modding and getting power from the S is harder and more expensive.
I'm sure I would love the RWD, driving without the top in the summer and the looks of an S2000 but it still makes me wonder if I really want to sell the CTR.
Its a bit hard getting a test drive since there are only a few S2000 in Finland
. Need to go to germany soon

I've a CTR and S2K and i can to tell you that the pleasure isn't identical.
The engine K20A is very easy to upgrade. More owners in France have a CTR with CAI, Hondata K100 and RH Jackson Racing.
The sensations are not the same because of the position of conduct but also because of the motor character. In performance, it's nearly similar safe to high speed.
