That's unfortunate. I think the south of France would attract more people, and the chances of fair weather would be higher. Would you like to consider the Barcelona circuit? I know some british guys rented it last year.

I had a look at the Val de Vienne site. It sounds great as well. What is the closest large city? Can you find out about driver education and some (safe) racing? Maybe we could have two programs, one shorter and another one a bit longer.

In our meeting (see: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...?threadid=6449) we asked how many people would be interested in going to Nice, how many would like to race, how many would like to participate in driver's ed. The results (yes/maybe/no) were:

Nice: 29/7/4
Racing: 32/2/8
Driver's ed: 27/4/11

I'll be happy to be there if the meeting happens during the first 3 weeks of august.

Please note there is also the track of "Ledenon" , of course it is not as famous as "Paul Ricard" but it's a good track.

3 or 4 times a year, the french subaru impreza club, rent the track for a half day or the full day and they have fun on it.

Ledenon is close to Nimes and Avignon. Half way from Italy, half way from Spain...

I think it's per car, but still cheap. And I'm sure that the price would be substantially lower if we book the whole track.

You're right Luis. This was the price per car as the current price is 150 FRF/car.

I've emailed a guy at the ledenon track, asking for the price of 1 day track renting or for the whole week-end.

As soon as i will have the price, i'll keep you posted.
