Default 2NR WERKS Tech Session - June 24th

It took a lot of begging and pleading (yeah, right) to get Todd to agree, but we're having a tech session at 2NR WERKS on Saturday, June 24th. I will pony up some dough for hot dogs and such, but (due to the rising cost of my car this last month ro so) would highly appreciate any extras you guys would be interested in bringing (hot chicks included ).

As I understand it, Todd has almost every tool imaginable in his shop, but considering the amount of work that will be going on, I highly suggest bringing your own stuff. I get dibs on the lift and tools due to the sheer amount of work I'll be doing to my car for HIN (and the fact that I requested this tech session in the first place ). I'll be bringing quite a few 6" sanding pads (various grits) to use with Todd's sander, everyone is welcome to use them, provided I have any left after all of my work is done.

Feel free to post comments/suggestions...

This will be, watch Todd work on Dan's car or help Dan get ready for HIN.

I can't believe you are driving to Tampa to get help beating us Tampa Area boys at the same show. Plus using my intake manifold to boot.

I can stop by and bring tools or parts if you need some. I will leave out on another trip at 2pm.

Ben, I'd be more than happy to make it more of a tech session, as long as you're willing to learn about stuff I'm working on

I'm swapping alternators (assuming it gets here on time), so that will involve removing the serpentine belt, as well. This will be followed by removal of the intake manifold. After everything is shined up, I'll be installing a Hondata Intake Gasket. I also have a replacement upper radiator hose to swap out. I can't remember, but there may be some more...

Jeff, unless Todd plans on surprising me with your fully polished intake when I get there, we'll be taking mine off, polishing it, then reinstalling. I have no chance of winning against you anyway... you have raw power under the hood But I'm working on it...

I have an intake manifold to install as well it is for the most part polished it just needs a little finish work. I have the Hondata and Spoon T-stat to go in after the old manifold is removed. Do I need any other replacement parts to do a manifold swap? Such as seals or O-rings or whatever
Do you think I can do this with you guys on the 24th

Once the stuff is pulled off of my car, I'm sure we can roll my car out of the way, get you on the lift. Most of my work will be polishing... the teardown/install itself will only take a few hours.

Others will have to chime in here, but I would have an intake gasket on hand, just in case. Sometimes you can pull them off without tearing, sometimes not. Can't remember if ours is metal or paper...
