alignment tool
anyone done a clutch swap recently and still have the plastic alignment tool. ACT no longer provides one with the kit ( for some unknown reason, its just a piece of plastic ) that im buying. I really would like to find one here in the tally region. Im willing to pay so just let me know, pleaze!
I doubt you will find one lying around here. Your best shot is to try and rent one (I think AutoZone might have one). If not, you could always ask to borrow one from Proctor Honda.... they are a pretty cool dealer.

Well then the guy just must have been in a bad mood when i talked to him. Not about the tool but about the clutch in general. He seemed stuck up and acted like he had no care in the world since i didnt buy the car from here.
Who did you talk to? Jerry is the Service Dept. manager, and he is pretty cool. You just need to convince him that you actually know what you are doing, which is not easy.
Also, the fact that you did not buy local does not help, as there is no loyalty on their behalf...
They are not allowed to recommend aftermarket parts....as they do not sell them
. I also think that if you tell them that they will not be held responsible for anything they say, they will probably be more inclined to help.
I think there is a dealer in Jacksonville that actually was a Comptech dealer, and did all the installs and everything right at the dealer. Just depends on who you talk to.
Check a local parts store to see if you can rent one....

Thanks for the information John. It actually doesnt make sense to me why ACT wont include one of the most important tools of the job with the clutch. But im sure they have their reasons. I'll try the dealership again to see if they will sell me one. Thanks again.
