Driver this time. I fell off a step ladder 3 1/2 weeks ago at work and have been out of work since. Workers comp sent me to a Quick Care where they took x-rays and told me that it was just a sprang and not to worry. So 2 weeks later I pulled the "muscles" again. I went back to QC and told them that I should have a specialist take a look at it and after a couple calls and days later they made a appointment for me at a local orthopaedic surgeon (which was this morning).

Guess what? I have a fracture (or crack) in my fibula at the top where it connects to the bottom of my knee (left leg)and it is partially healed. So everyone can imagine how I feel right now, ^&$%##&^pissed!! The fact that workers comp would send you to a QC for a serious injury is beyond me, and the fact that they mis diagnosed it, and limping around in pain for 3 1/2 weeks thinking it was just a sprang.

So there you have it. I've not been able to drive the S since the fall (clutch leg), I have rec'ed no comp as of today (waiting for the drug test results I guess who knows), and if I don't get out of the house and do something soon I think I will go crazy. Not to mention my trip to the mountains the beginning of next month will provably be without the car. NO DRAGON^%#$@&*$*......

I don't know if I should reply, I don't want the Florida bad luck. Glad you are okay. Since your car cannot be driven and you are sad about it, and since I'm going to do the dragon next week, I guess I'll do you a favor. I know you don't want to ask me, but do you want me to take you car up there to make a showing in behalf of you?

 

 

Heck, Dave - that's awful kind of you to drive all that way over here to pick up the SC beast. In the same generous vein, and since I'm so close to Fastrack, I'll offer to drive it over to Ocala where we'll meet up for the run up to the Dragon. She's all yours from there, I promise.....
