Default Anyone with 4.56 gears on an AP1?

Im thinking about getting 4.56 gears and looking to get a ride in an AP1 with 4.56 gears... I want to see the difference in acceleration and whine...

Must be a mostly stock car powerwise, or only N/A bolt-on's (intake/exhaust is fine) ... but no cams, LWT flywheel, VTEC Controller, EMS, etc...

If i can drive for a few minutes... ill buy you beer...

Sorry, I'm not stock or close to. There is someone I know. Hopefully he chimes in.

Well...I'm closer to stock than those guys, but I do have a VAFC. In Jax though. Might make it to a Orl meet some time though.

I'm not stock either. AEM EMS installed. Won't be a good test.

thanks fellas... wow... no one stock in tampa bay is running gears...

the AP2 tranny and the EMS are pretty significant...

negcamber, i may have to find out when your gonna be in ORL next i may get a VAFC later on, but is there much to be gained with it other than changing the VTEC crossover?

anyone else in tampa bay?
I have 4.57s and am close to stock!!!

Just subtract the feeling from the turbo and the AP2 tranny.

Not as much gain from a VAFC on an '02, but you can expect ~8whp.

If you are not boosting I would do 4.77s. The best bang for the buck.

People are quick to tell you how much faster a car is with gears. Unfortunately a lot of it is perception. While the car is revving faster, it's not actually traveling that much faster, if at all. I've read a few threads where people actually tested the gears, only to be very disappointed. Please read my thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=412428 before acting on the mod. I've seen a few others with similar results. If I were you, I'd save for FI or just stay stock.
